Molly Bachelor, AIA

I’m an architect based in the Water Hill neighborhood of Ann Arbor, Michigan. My work focuses on updates to older homes, incorporating modern functionality while honoring the existing structure.  I also work with clients building new homes on infill or previously developed sites. For all projects, I work with clients to find design solutions that are simple, elegant and attainable.

I work with clients through all phases of their project, from initial conception and schematic planning through detailed construction drawings and coordination. One lovely thing about updating existing homes is that it can also create opportunities to improve their environmental function, reducing energy footprints and integrating them with landscape and habitat. I have experience working with performance metrics like Energy Star, Passive House, and LEED.

An Ann Arbor native, I hold both Bachelor of Arts and Master of Architecture degrees from the University of Michigan. I’ve lived and worked across the country, including Los Angeles, San Diego and Chicago. I’m a registered architect in Michigan as well as a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP), and am a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
